CASE INTAKE SPECIALIST-PUBLIC HOUSING

Serves as initial point of contact in person and via telephone for Public Housing Program. Responsible for processing and record keeping of up-to-date and accurate information for the Public Housing program. Address inquiries regarding Public Housing Program. Coordinate the application processes and procedures. Maintain records and files to include wait list, inspection records, tenant files, and maintenance work orders. Compiles statistical reports as needed. Receives and posts payments on a daily basis from tenants or other services. Excellent computer skills, customer service skills and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality are highly desired.

Minimum Education and Experience:

An Associate’s Degree in Public Administration or related field desired. Two years of property & asset management experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience preferred. Microsoft Office and personal computer experience preferred. Must possess a valid South Carolina Drivers’ License. Salary: $11.07p/ hr. Resumes will not be considered without CCHRA application. Open until filled.

Housing Choice Voucher Program Specialist (Temporary, FT)

The Charleston County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (CCHRA) is currently seeking highly motivated and customer service oriented applicants for the position of Temporary Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) Specialist.

Responsible for a variety of programmatic functions for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) to include performing admissions and occupancy procedures such as receipt and reviewing initial applications, verifying eligibility for occupancy and recertification, assisting with the waiting list, addition and deletion of family members, income changes, moves, interim adjustments and terminations. This position is the primary ongoing client contact during initial eligibility determination and after lease-up has occurred and may include other duties not illustrated above. Applicant must also possess a valid S.C. driver's license and be computer literate in word processing. Salary: $13.00 p/h.
